Well, what a difference a year makes. This time in 2017 we were in the middle of the highly divisive UA92 and Refreshed Stretford Masterplan consultation. Since then, the 2018 local elections brought a change of executive at Trafford Council, plans for Turn Moss were scrapped and we’ve started to see a different approach from the council in regards to development in Stretford.
There was another fantastic turnout for tonight’s lobbying of the Trafford Council meeting to say hands off Gary Neville and Sean Anstee. When the news about UA92 and the revised Stretford Masterplan original came out, I raised my concerns about the privatisation of public green space at Turn Moss. As I’ve covered in some recent posts, Trafford Council have published a refreshed masterplan for Stretford, based predominantly around the UA92 proposals. They’ve been consulting residents about these proposals, having hosted a number of sessions with locals. Trafford are asking for responses to the revised masterplan for Stretford and the elements within it, via an online questionnaire.
