It’s been a while since I’ve done an update on the Metrolink Trafford Park Line (TPL). I’ve generally avoided the area since work started on the TPL, as it’s been such a pain to cycle around there. It’s also not particularly safe or pleasant to cycle with the kids now, which is a shame as it used to be a relatively good way to get to Salford Quays. Trafford Civic Quarter Masterplan

Well, what a difference a year makes. This time in 2017 we were in the middle of the highly divisive UA92 and Refreshed Stretford Masterplan consultation. Since then, the 2018 local elections brought a change of executive at Trafford Council, plans for Turn Moss were scrapped and we’ve started to see a different approach from the council in regards to development in Stretford.
