We had the pleasure of taking a narrowboat along the Bridgewater Canal with the Open Lock Project. While heading beyond Altrincham, we noticed work continuing on the Bridgewater Way.

The work starts near the old Linotype factory and continues beyond the bridge near the Bay Malton. Construction appears to be similar to the Bridgewater Way and the path seems a reasonable width.

It’ll be a big improvement on how it was previously, and will open up the Bridgewater Way to routes towards Dunham Massey and Lymm. It’d be good if they avoided piling on the loose stones, but I doubt that’ll happen.
