Netherlands 22: A multimodal trip to Rotterdam

Now, we’ve been meaning to go back to Rotterdam for some time. It turns out we’ve not been there for a while, not since 2013 in fact, so we were definitely due another trip. Seeing Bicycle Dutch’s post on the improvements to Rotterdam’s Coolsingel definitely made me want to go back for another visit.

France 19: Dives-sur-Mer and Cabourg

In August 2019, we had a trip to Normandy, staying at Camping Village La Vallée. This is part 2 in the series, part 1 looked at our campsite, Camping Village La Vallée and the town of Houlgate.

While Houlgate was the closest town to where we were staying, the towns of Dives-sur-Mer and Cabourg were very close by, just along the coast. We visited both towns a couple of times on our bikes during our stay in Houlgate.

France 19: Camping Village La Vallée and Houlgate

In a surprising break from our usual habit of holidays in The Netherlands, we decided to head to Normandy in France for our 2019 summer holiday. We were staying in the seaside town of Houlgate in Calvados, at Camping Village La Vallée. While this is a campsite, we were actually staying in an Al Fresco Holidays mobile home.

2020 was due to be our 10th consecutive trip to The Netherlands. Unfortunately, world events and the ongoing coronavirus pandemic has put a stop to that. Rather than dwell on what might have been, I thought I’d take the opportunity to look back at our previous trips to The Netherlands.
