Now I wasn’t able to attend the first of the recent Kidical Mass rides back in May this year, which looked like a fantastic event, so I was very keen to get down to September’s Kidical Mass ride.
This was a different affair to the last Kidical Mass ride I went to, way back in May 2016. The kids were much smaller then, and far more keen on joining me at cycling events. Now they’re a bit older, it’s a bit harder to drag them out on their bikes, so I was solo today.
There was an impressive turnout for the September Kidical Mass and a really great atmosphere (such a shame Critical Mass isn’t like this). People of all ages were out cycling, and making the best of a relatively safe environment to cycle in. It was amazing to see so many different types of cycles and cargo bikes, and various ways of carrying kids.
I can honestly say I’ve never seen so many Tern GSDs in one place, or so many FollowMe Tandems! Sad to say, ours FollowMe Tandem is now gathering dust in the garage, with the boys now way too big to use it! They do say they grow up fast.
Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to stick around for the events in Whitworth Park, as I had to get over to to Longford Park for a Stretford Uke gig. So I left soon after arriving there and made my way back to Stretford.
