I have to admit, I’ve got a bit of a fondness for Dutch bikes. I don’t know if it’s the sheer practicality of them, the robustness or the fact that they’re difficult to get in the UK. But I can’t help but like them, old or new, two wheels or more.
OK, I’ve said it now, let’s move on.
We’re just back from what is turning into our yearly visit to The Netherlands, this time staying in Vlissingen, Zeeland as well as at Duinrell in Wassenaar, South Holland. I’m still working through my numerous photos and deciding what I’ll write about. In the meantime, here’s a selection of photos of Dutch bikes, for those with a similar persuasion as me.
Most of these are from on the street, but a few are from the following bike shops below I visited. Disappointingly, I’m still on the search for a bike shop that’ll ship to the UK.
