While out on a family ride on the Fallowfield Loop, making the most of a rare day of sunshine this December, I had chance to have a look at the progress on the Wilmslow Road Cycleway alongside Platt Fields Park.
Since the last time I was here in October, there’s definitely been progress. Though it is still very much work in progress. Some of the signs are good, curb heights and sloping curbs, and the bus stop bypass looks promising. Though what isn’t clear is the route through the trees or what’s happening with some of the existing street furniture. I’m hoping it won’t stay as it is.
More details on the Wilmslow Road Cycleway can be found on Manchester City Council’s Better by cycle site.
