Mersey Valley and Stockport Cycleway

February 23, 2016January 4, 2026 Dom Cycling

As someone who regularly passes through Didsbury and Parrs Wood, on my way to Cheadle as part of my commute. I’ve been watching the progress of the Mersey Valley and Stockport Cycleway, and have previously posted my impressions of the Stockport Cycleway.

New TfGM cycleways and the importance of good junction design (Updated)

February 11, 2016July 3, 2022 Dom Cycling

To start with, I must say, I’m more than pleased to see actual real cycle infrastructure being installed in Manchester. I’d be even more pleased if it were installed where I live. But hey ho, you live and hope.

October 6, 2015July 3, 2022 Dom Cycling

Well, there was an ominous sky as we set off for Manchester, collecting friends on the way. When we reached Deansgate, the sky began to open up for what would become a rather damp ride. Continue reading “Manchester #space4cycling – October 2015”

Sky Ride Manchester – August 2015

August 5, 2015April 23, 2017 Dom Cycling

It’s two years since I last did the Sky Ride. Last year we were away in The Netherlands having an altogether more pleasant bike experience. There were fourteen of us heading there this year, including five kids, so we decided to do our own Critical Mass. Safety in the numbers and all that.
